Janine’s journey into the world of body art began in 2002. For a full 15 years, she dedicated herself to absolute precision as a piercer. She knows exactly which stud fits best where, how to achieve perfect symmetry, and—perhaps most importantly in her work—how to help nervous, excited clients who are fidgeting with anticipation settle into a relaxed, comfortable state of well-being. But someone driven by such a zest for action is never satisfied with the status quo. Fueled by her desire for even more creative freedom and ultimate professional independence, Janine was seized by a new passion in 2017: tattooing.
And when Janine takes on a challenge, she does it right. She apprenticed under none other than Obi himself. Under the guidance of her experienced, world-renowned mentor, Janine evolved from a master of the needle to a master of the interplay between needle and ink. Because Janine and Obi are simply unbeatable as a team, they took an important and wise step in 2019 and opened their very first studio, right in downtown Mannheim. It was the beginning of a lifelong dream—and it took the city by storm. The people of Mannheim (and beyond!) loved the vibe, the professionalism, and the passion at this studio—their Mantra Tattoo & Piercing Atelier.
After just a few years, it became clear: We no longer had enough space for all our colorful ideas! The two of them had outgrown their current space. They needed a bigger studio. And as if guided by a higher power, the perfect opportunity presented itself: The Mantra Tattoo & Piercing Atelier Upgrade on Lange Rötterstraße in Mannheim has become their second professional home and their second living room.
Today, Mantra Atelier is a true oasis of well-being at the highest level:
